California Public Records Act (PRA) Requests Policy
Government Code Section 6250 

Goethe International Charter School (GICS) is committed to timely and accurately responding to all records requests. To ensure compliance that is both legal and timely, the Director of Operations of GICS is the executive agent for all GICS requests and responses to those requests. 

Requests can be made by mail, electronic mail, facsimile, telephone, etc., using the contact information:

The request is acknowledged within 10 calendar days and will review the request to determine whether the records requested fall within any exceptions listed in the PRA. If appropriate, the requestor will be notified of an extension of time, not to exceed 14 days, to determine if responsive records exist. 

The public has a general right to inspect and/or obtain copies of records maintained by state and local agencies pursuant to the Act. While many records are accessible, the PRA as well as other statutes may preclude disclosure of records including, but not limited to, specified personnel records, medical records, and records prepared in connection with pending litigation.
