GPA Events

Each year, the Goethe Parent Association (GPA) hosts FUN-raisers that are meant to focus on community and relationship building for students and their families.

Back to School Picnic
This event is held in the first few weeks of each new school year. Families are asked to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with other families on the Goethe International Charter School (GICS) campus and get to know about school events, various committees and volunteer opportunities, all while enjoying background music and games like kick ball! This event is free and is a great way to get to know other families at school.

Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is a day of fun and games with an educational focus every year such as STEM (Science - Technology - Engineering - Math), flight, or mathematics. Each class at GICS is responsible for creating a booth that hosts a game or a craft relative to the theme of the Festival. In addition to game booths, there is a bake sale, a grill station and a chili cook off. Each booth costs a ticket to play/participate and tickets are sold for $1 each at the door or at school in the weeks leading up to the Festival. Parents are asked to volunteer for their class booths or for support the day of the event such as setting up and breaking down.

School Dance
This event is an amazing opportunity for kids and their families to come together and let loose by dancing the evening away in our Multi Purpose Room (MPR). The entrance fee of $3 for children and $5 for adults includes a piece of pizza and a drink. Enjoy dinner with friends and have fun dancing to music provided by an awesome DJ. The dances are always held on a Friday evening and run from 5:30 to 8:00 PM.

Spring Fiesta
The Spring Fiesta is always held in the beginning of May and is a chance for our community to come together in the Spring term and have some fun! The structure of the Spring Fiesta changes every year to create new excitement for the community and the kids, but each class is asked to participate in some way to make the Spring Fiesta successful. We always have a homemade salsa competition as well! Tickets are sold for $1 each at the door or at school in the weeks leading up to the Fiesta.
