Welcome to the Board of Trustees page for Goethe International Charter School. The Board is the governing body responsible for the policy, financial oversight, and strategic direction of our school.
Meeting Schedule and Public Attendance
- Monthly Meetings: The Board of Trustees meets every month, with the exception of July.
- Public Welcome: All regular and special meetings are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.
- Brown Act Compliance: Meetings strictly adhere to California Government Code Sections 54950-54963, legally known as the Ralph M. Brown Act, ensuring open governance and public transparency.
Current Strategic Initiatives
Our Board directly oversees the long-term vision of our school. In February 2021, the Board directed the Executive Director to form a diverse Strategic Planning Task Force. This committee—comprising Board members, administrators, teachers, and parent association representatives—met weekly via Zoom to modernize our foundational 2016-2020 Strategic Plan. The Executive Director regularly delivers progress updates during public Board meetings as we finalize this updated roadmap for our community.
