International Baccalaureate

International Baccalaureate or IB: A rigorous integrated curriculum, this internationally recognized programme uses student-driven inquiry lessons to stimulate conceptual holistic learning.

In 2009, GICS adopted the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). GICS received full IB PYP World School status in 2014, and successfully completed the evaluation for renewal in 2019 and 2023.

GICS is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
